Answer the following questions in 800+ words put together...
Is this character an OC or AU set in a canon world? If so, which canon?: Cowboy Bebop semi AU, 6 years post events of the anime and her final session "Hard Luck Woman"
If not, describe their world. This includes things like whether the world has magic or technology, what sort of culture your character comes from, the relative era in which it is set, etc.: NA
Character's background (their past and present, including applicable events in other games you may have played them in): http://cowboybebop.wikia.com/wiki/Edward (anime canon)
In the years since the events of the anime Edward has still been unable to locate any links to her past and ends up going into bounty hunting as well once she finally finished her schooling (using her old alias of Edward Tivrusky when needed). But even now she is usually behind the scenes as a hacker, still going under her screen name of Radical Edward (easily making people think its a man behind the laptop, which has caused its share of moments both scary and funny). Over the last few years she has been a huge part of teams that have brought down drug king pins and crime lords, she was also one of several who was finally able to bring down the Red Dragons once and for all (partly out of a need to get revenge for Spike).
Over the last few years post Bebop she has also been trying to locate her old friends from the Bebop since to be honest they were pretty much all she had for family (she can't explain it but is this ache in her soul that just won't go away). She has gotten close to finding Faye and Jet but no word on Spike minus a few rumors along her travels. She joins the hunt against the Red Dragons after hearings rumors (but never being able to confirm anything) that Spike had indeed died after she left the ship at Vicious's hand. After that she keeps chugging along, mostly working on her own but with occasional hook ups into crews when she's needing to be social.
She somehow lands in Ten Forward thanks to Q grabbing her after a freelance hacking job on Mars while in transit to Ganymede (along with tracking a rumor about Spike maybe being on the planet) and well cue one very confused little computer geek. Her scooter also crashes into a column in the process but beyond some minor damage to her scooter she's unharmed (just a few bruises and a very mild concussion). But Edward is going to see this as simply a detour leading into another adventure.
This version of Edward also follows a popular theory within the fandom of her being ADHD but never properly diagnosed. Her being properly diagnosed and getting proper help will be a part of her storylines and eventual CR.
Character's personality: Hyper computer geek anyone? Toss in some sass, a wicked sense of humor and a ready smile and you have Edward in a nutshell. She's basically the goofy oddball with a heart.
But even a smart girl does have a flew kinks in the software: Edward's kinks being her ADHD (as per the fandom theory) and the fact she can be seen as a little nutty by others (mostly due to her moments of speaking in the 3rd person and sometimes out there statements). Beyond her not being the most tidy in terms of her gear bag and tool belt along with being semi forgetful she's been able to keep her illness in check and under wraps, most would think of her problems as mere quirks. But put her in front of a computer and she becomes one of the meanest hackers in the business. After all, in her time she's basically unbeatable.
There's also her habit of going blonde every so often (she lets people think its for fun but she's also done it for small undercover stints) but most would find it just her being a normal young woman in her early 20s.
But as she would say,"I'm just Ed, bugs in the software and all".
Character's skills/abilities/powers: No powers but by her times standard is an unbeatable hacker. She's also a computer genius and is basically self taught. She's also talented at fixing electronics due to doing all her own computer repairs on the fly while on jobs.
Any special equipment your character is bringing along? This includes weaponry, magic items, etc.: Motor scooter (damaged upon arrival), backpack full of computer gear including her main computer nicknamed Tomato and a smaller handheld version of the same computer nicknamed Mini Tomato, a few thousand woolongs (her world's money), change of clothes, silver smiley face pin (also her call sign), various tools (including VR goggles), small TV unique to her world to track bounties and her time's version of a taser unit (for self defense).
Why do you want to play this character in Ten Forward, and what do you plan to do with them? Edward just felt perfect for a setting like this given her being from a space based canon. I want to basically explore her life outside and post her time aboard the Bebop and explore a few ongoing theories from the show (especially her being having ADHD as per a popular theory within the fandom) along with her having nobody from her own world around, so she will have to grown up more than she already has. She also breaks my streak of damaged women since her outlook while a little dark given her recent past is ten times lighter.
What is your character's greatest flaw? Besides a well hidden mental illness? She's got a few leftover trust issues from before she joined the Bebop thanks to a vanishing father.
Describe your character's family (whether family by blood or by choice). How does your character feel about them? What did your character learn from them? During her time on the Bebop Edward has come to consider Jet, Spike and Faye (along with Ein the Corgi) her family of choice. Jet became the father she never knew while she considers Faye an older sister (in spite of the older woman not being into the idea). Spike meanwhile was an enigma even to her, but she looked up to him. As for Ein he became her partner in arms since she's among the few that can understand the data dog. But for a girl without a family they were the best thing that happened to her. As for blood family she has no idea if her father is even alive so she stopped looking after a few years on the road.
What hobbies does your character have? Edward's not really into hobbies unless hacking and anything electronic based counts. Yes she needs a life outside the computer.
Your character wakes up in the middle of the night in panic from a nightmare. What was the nightmare? Never finding the truth about her past and her Bebop family all being dead (which has happened with Spike and she's never discovered the truth).
